The focus on translational science highlights our common goal of using knowledge of basic mechanisms and innovative engineering approaches to improve cancer diagnosis and therapy, in many cases with advanced cell culture systems and animal models as essential intermediates. Two major themes of the symposium will be 'Imaging & Diagnostics' and 'Molecular Mechanisms & Therapeutics'.
